The Winnipeg Boldness Project decided to host an open house on September 30 to share some of the work we’ve been doing over the last few months and further engage with the community in a new way.
We started out with a pipe ceremony hosted by Elders Don Robinson and Velma Orvis, which was the perfect opening to a great day. This was followed by lunch, networking, and talking to new people! We had lots of information up for people to take in as well as some activities for people to participate in and share their feedback.
One of the great things about an event like this is it gives us an opportunity to have really meaningful conversations and dialogue with people, and field lots of questions to give a more in depth understanding of the work that we’re doing.
We were able to share lots of information about the model we’ve been developing, as well as some of the ideas that community members we’ve spoken to have had.
We want to thank anyone who attended our open house for their support and interest in our project, and for anyone who wasn’t able to make it we will keep you updated with other opportunities to get involved with #wpgboldness!
